Rongeurs for Bone and Tissue Removal

Rongeurs are heavy-duty biting instruments used to remove bone and dense tissue during orthopaedic, spinal and neurosurgical procedures. Their sharp, cupped jaws allow controlled piecemeal excision for decompression, contouring and preparation of bony surfaces prior to fixation or grafting.

The selection spans Kerrison, double-action and single-action patterns in a variety of jaw widths and bite depths. Instruments are typically manufactured from hardened surgical stainless steel, and detachable or spring-return designs support thorough cleaning and repeated autoclave sterilisation.
