The 601 has plenty of power for percutaneous work and the trigger gives fine speed control near vital structures. It is a little heavier than my cordless unit but the rigidity is welcome.

Passing the drill over a guidewire is smooth and the cannulation stays concentric so the pilot hole follows my planned trajectory. Torque is ample for cannulated screw fixation of a femoral neck.

The cannulated shaft cleans out readily and the collet mechanism has stayed reliable across our inspection schedule. Sealing appears robust against irrigation ingress.
